Haha ... We were over in Rock Hampton, training with the British Royal Marines back in '03 participating in Croc ... Would go back in a second ... Long flight, but so worth it ... Ended up getting some ink in Brisbane at West Coast Tattoo, a pretty appropriate name ... Lol ... Clubs were fun, and the Brisbane Lions, a rugby team, had won some championship while we were there ... Ended up partying at the same club ... It was fun and I miss it ...

I did that in 2002 (I was with the reserves by that time). At the North Shoals Training area. Which I guess is basically in the Rock Hampton Area.
We did a force swap and the Aussies got to drive our LAV's back in Pendleton and we theirs. Dude, they had refrigerators in the LAV's. And actual cooks in the field. Food like steak and eggs in the morning and fresh fruit all day. Porn in the LAV's... ahh it was heaven.

Favorite Port Of Call?
Well let me think? I would have to say P.I. With Perth Australia a close second. We Marines travel alot in our tours of duty. Many duty stations and many ports of call. And to tell the gods honest truth , HOME is the BEST duty station ever!!!! To all my fellow Marines who are far from home i say stay safe my brothers and sisters. SEMPER FI

Iwakuni was not bad, Okinawa was not bad, but the best liberty in the entire Marine Corps had to be Southern Calif. Millions of beautiful, accessible round eyed women.

Hmmm... Let's see....
I guess it was Quantico.
Two reasons ...
First, there was a German Beer hall up on the highway, think the name was the Bratwurst House or something like that. Great place, but it’s gone now.
Second, I could make it home to my High School sweet heart and future bride every weekend I didn't have duty. And for the record, we are still married 38 years later and have 3 wonderful grown kids.
