I returned earlier today from a parade iand memorial service in which the 2nd MAW band participated. It sure did this Marine's heart to swell with pride seeing them and the other active duty/active reserve Marines participating in a parade in their dress blues. You could also pick out the majority of the Marine veterans in the crowd by their reactions and their hats, shirts, and bearing. Retired SgtMaj Gadsden was one of the guest speakers. At the end of the memorial service of course they played the songs of the other branches and played our Hymn last. It sure caused this Marine's eyes to sweat while standing at attention.

To all my Marine brothers and sisters currently on active duty and those who served our Corps -- SEMPER FIDELIS! May God bless all of you and those now on duty in heaven!
