I know that my Dad was in boot camp probably within a week of enlisting in August 1942. My dad was from NJ. Have you looked at any of the platoon class photos from here. There is always the possibility that your dad's class is here. Otherwise, if you have anything that has any kind of an identifying # on it or the DD214 form, request a complete record. The other suggestion, if you haven't done it yet, or if you have a friend who is a member, is to join ancestry.com. A lot of military information has become available not to mention other information. I'll keep my eyes open. I am an ancestry member so I will search the name too to see if I come up with anything.
