Question for any current Quantico Marines
Or maybe even former Q-town Marines.
I'm listening to radio comms for some type of war game going on at Quantico right now. I'm trying to figure out what unit or school this is. "Tan" and "Green" forces, passing reports for possible target locations such as likely avenues of approach, enemy HQ, etc. There are males and females.
They're getting ready for an attack right now.

My guess, and it's only a guess, is that it's OCS out in the woods playing wargames.
Are you picking them up on conventional, or do you have a SINGARS? LOL.

I did some more searching on some things I heard and found this article

It's TBS training, I suppose it's Fox Co that is doing this now.
Don't know why it's getting changed to *****, but the *****should be m i l i t a r y . c o m (without the spaces).
Not coventional or SINGARS, it's trunked P25 digital.

Ah, that makes some sense then. Yeah, I kinda figured it would either be TBS or OCS.
Most of the LE and Fire on federal facilities in the Metro DC area are using the new 380 system, which is trunked P25.
Not like the old days when everything was just plain old trunking, and you could figure stuff out by talk groups.
