    Yeah just a few Royal Marines ashore during the revolutionary war, and beyond... The Royal Marines as known today were formed 28 Oct 1664, however over the last 342 years our name has changed a number of times.

    Both our Corps have locked horns since the revolutionary war, fortunatley today we both sit on the same side (unfortunate for our enemies), two clashes worthy of mentioned The 1812 War - Royal Marines set fire to the White House and other public buildings. And my favorite the The Pig War which began on June 15, 1859 ended in 1872 - the only casualty a PIG!

    That White House thing don't sound half bad anymore! Maybe we could get both Corps together and do it again. Just make sure we include congress and the supremes this time.(and the VA)
