On January 26, 2007, the 11th Marine in the Higgins' family will graduate from MCRD Parris Island! He joins a long family tradition of Marines, marrying Marines, children and grandchildren becoming and marrying Marines! The newest Marine, RCT Colby Higgins, age 18, will join the following
Once & Always Marines

Kenneth W. Higgins & his brother, Les Higgins were the first in the family to become one of the finest. Kenneth's children who followed in their father's and uncle's footsteps include:
K. Dale Higgins, who married Janet Williams Higgins, also a Marine, both serving until 1987 & 1988
Donald Higgins, MGST - still active duty, stateside
Daniel Higgins, CWO, retired - 2006
Vanessa Higgins Ross (who graduated PI boot camp with Dale's wife Janet), and then married William Ross, a CWO, retired - 2006

Dale & Janet's children:
CPL Heather Higgins Brewer (active duty, stateside), who married SGT Joshua Brewer (active duty, stationed in Fallujah)
and now, RCT Colby Higgins, soon to graduate from Parris Island!
