    Gunny Hardy:
I was a medevac corpsman in 1970 and flew out of Marble Mountain all over I Corps. I flew with HMM-364, HMM-263, HMM-262 and HMM-161. The crap hit the fan alot when I flew night medevacs with 161.

I was an FMFcorpsman deployed with VMFA-333 to the beautiful island paradise of Gito in 1963. Also deployed for several carrier quals. Back then they were flying F8 Crusaders. At least the F8's had guns. I felt sorry fory the Nam pilots who flew the early F4's.

I've been trying for years to find one of my best buddies in the Corps, Jose T. Coco-Valdez. He went by "Joe Valdez" for social purposes, and we called him "Coco" for short.

The last time I heard from him was in the early '70's. He was then a Captain, flying 2nd seat in Phantoms, had just returned from his third tour in 'Nam, and had taken over as Avionics Officer of H&MS-31 at Beaufort. (Said if he'd known what a can of worms he was getting into, he'd have stayed in 'Nam).

Internet people finders, even Social Security Death Index, I've drawn a blank everywhere.

    Any info would be appreciated.
