In the beginning was the Plan
And then came the assumptions,
And the assumptions were without form,
And the plan was completely without substance,
And the darkness was upon the faces of the Privates, the PFCs, and the Lance
Corporals, And the spake amongst themselves, saying:
"It is a crock of sh!t and it stinks!"
And the Privates, the PFCs, and the Lance Corporals went unto their
Corporals and Sergeants, saying:
"It is a pail of dung and none my abide by the odor thereof."
And the Corporals and Sergeants went unto their Staff Noncommissioned
Officers, saying:
"It is a container of excrement and it is very strong such that none my
abide by it."
And the Staff Noncommissioned Officers went unto their Lieutenants and
Captains, saying:
"It is a vessel of fertilizer and none my abide by its strength."
And the Lieutenants and Captains went unto their Majors, Lieutenant
Colonels, and Colonels, saying:
"It contains that which aid plant growth and it is very strong."
And the Majors, Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels went unto their Generals,
saying:
"It promotes growth and is very powerful."
And the Generals went unto Headquarters Marine Corps, saying:
"This new plan will actively promote the growth and efficiency of the Marine
Corps!"
And Headquarters Marine Corps looked upon the plan and saw that it was good,
and the plan became Marine Corps Order.

That, is how SH!T Happens!

This... is a true story. After becoming a Marine Corps Oder it was then passed down to the Generals... Then to the Colonels, Lieutenant Colonels and Majors.. Who in turn passed it on to the Lieutenants and Captains who held formations of their Staff NCO's and NCO's... Who also held a formation of the Lance Corporals, PFC's and Privates and let them know... This is a Marine Corps Order... All will live in, with and around this new order. You will love it as it loves you. Wherever one may go, it will be with you. I know it's true, cuz I, as I'm sure many of you, were there!

And posted for all the Corps to see. A Maradmin was released with expediency.
It was printed and posted for all to adore, placed right outside every commanding officer's door.
There for the reading and review for all the men, used to punish them every now and again.
Until one day a new CMC was named, the policy was revoked and the previous regime blamed.
The order was re-written in order to be fair, all because a young Marine had a pair.
A young Marine wrote CMC and explained his case, the policy was wrong for every installation and base.
CMC wanting to endear himself to this troop, condemned the order and called it "poop."
The moral of the story is quite quite simple you see, just write a Marine Mail addressed to CMC.
