Hello again Wavesside-I have to throw this in-or other employees from other VA's will answer.On the books-lunch is officially-1/2 hour.8am-to-4:30pm-is the shift.Most people that have better jobs at the VA-are not tortured-as much for lunch.There are two 15 minute breaks-one in the am and the other in the afternoon.In order to get a 45 minute lunch-you must give up the afternoon break.Believe it or not-there are some people that are on break-there, that seems like the whole day-or they go-shopping on Gov time.All people are equal-but some people are more equal-and the Gov turns it's blind eye.Why?God Bless America-and all the men at sea-and all Americans in the armed services-in Harms Way.People have to find the right people to vote for-Too many private clubs-have poped up in America.Too many words-not enough actions being taken to save this country.Suppose that's the plan-for the future-and secret deals have been made-What IF?"America" has already been sold out on purpose.Think about the people you vote for-and try to find some good ones-if they even exist anymore-Wake up and smell the burning Flesh.Thank God for our Armed Services..Sorry Waveside-I was swept away-with Hope for America.Bye for now...........................................

Other than the garbage galley, my job is great! I work for a Glaucoma Doc in clinic and the OR, and when she's not in I float with cornea or retina Doc's. I have to say the patient is their number one priority. They take excellent care of people and are whole heartedly concerned for their welfare. We are treated with great respect. We have 4 prior HM's working here. Our overall medical skill/knowledge far exceeds our coworkers. My manager is an RN who's husband was a Sailor and she knows our ability and knows who to call when a patient goes down.

...............Hello Waveside-good hearing from you.Absolutely-your experience counts.Usually Eye Surgeons are very relaxed.I found out that these doctors are so specialized-that there are Surgeons-that only do the front of the eye;and Surgeons that only do the back of the eye . Now that's a worthy medical occupation and it pays well also.Being a Corpsman really gives you a feeling of confidence.Kind of makes you feel that you could handle any kind of Medical-Complication-except Brain Surgery maybe.Corpsman Medical Training and on The Job Training makes you more Conscious and Responsible for what your doing.It must be great to have former Corpsman where you work.That's what I call a good working atmosphere.People working in Hospitals are always now trying to keep up with the computer.This really puts pressure on people.There is nothing human about computers-and now you may meet some people that don't have nothing human left in them also.It's good you work in a place where people still have respect for one another and understanding.I come from a place where the Borg Rule-where decency gets destroyed-and people trade humane kindness-for Temporary Power.That's the way of the world where I come from.I'm sure in Bussiness and Politics,it's worse-Ha Ha.Have a Beautiful Day Waveside & Semper FI

...........................Hey Ole Doc-Couldn't reply before-but now -I could use some of that Turpin Hydrate-Gi Gin-It once got me in trouble in Camp Pen.I gave a bottle to this Sargent-and he drank the whole bottle-We were out on one of those operations-and he-the Sargent-fell down a small hill.It was noticed that he was a little intoxicated-and I got chewed out big time by either a Captain or a higher ranked Officer; I don't remember.Turns out that maybe the Marine I handed out-Turpin Hydrate-didn't have such a productive cough,after all.He just wanted to keep warm in the Boonies.I always tried to keep my Marines-Healthy and Happy-but they had to know their correct Military Conduct.I wasn't going to be hussled for meds-if these Marines didn't require them.I was always there for them-what ever they required-but I wasn't stupid.They learned and so did I.There's nothing easy about being a Doc-you have to be able to duck and roll-and be able to still save lives.That's not easy to survive.Them ,There, Doc's got my respect-Completely.There were also little analgesics-called Darvercetes-but I don't remember their dosage and they didn't have caffine in them.I was young and strong back then-and liked them Mule Burro cigarettes--as Staff Sargent Belger used to call them.Well that's about it Ole Doc-I was kind of always-giving out Turpin Hydrate-but don't get me in trouble-by drinking all of it-at one time.Have some sense and intelligence.Gotta love those Marines for having initiative though-Bye for now.

-----Hello HM1 DanH-How are you-I never received any info-back from the Navy Medicine-site.I guess- if your not active duty-Navy Medicine-is not interested.I even told them it was a Great Honor-to have been a United States Naval Corpsman.So that's that.One good thing that has developed from Combat Medicine is the Medical Amtrac Emergency Triarge-This really saves lives.The survival rate of Combat Injuries is above 80% now.That's very good.In Nam I think it was 70%-but I'm not sure.Keep on Keepin on HM1 Doc DanH-By your leave Sir-Hello DocGreek-How's Things?

I see there was a big March in Washington Today.This is what I was afraid of.Believe it or not-this was a protest-against President Obama-It didn't seem that way but it was.Everyone keeps speaking about more jobs.There are no-Jobs Left In America.All the jobs have been out sourced to other countries.What's wrong with these fools.New jobs with new technologies have to be created here.It seems that only the rich get positions in Government now.Look at these people that are supposed to represent us in the Congress and Senate.They are mostly for themselves -and are rich with all kinds of connections around the world.I've been tightening my belt since President Carter.Do you know -there are Tent Cities all over America-with the people of Foreclosed Homes.This has not been reported by the News.How do I know about this.I have friends that are "Truck Drivers"and they told me about this.There's a News Blackout here in this country-Why?There are supposed to be terrorist attacks in Europe.This is just a diversion-The Terrorists are coming here-That's their plan completely.New York is the Number 1 Target.Be prepared for impact.The cells are here already-I see the people that inspect things don't do a very good job.As I said I am not political-but since Nam-I can sense danger at a heightened level of awareness.When I was in high school-I was told that General Electric and other Scientific Industries were 7 years ahead in Science Production.Turns out this Country is 50 years ahead in Scientific Production.In other words this Country is a half a century ahead in Scientific Development .Protesting wont do Sh*t.Get America back on track with these new Industries-and get Americans back to work;to produce new things.Why is this stuff hidden from us also?-So no wonder people think I'm wild-but I'm actually Wilder........Just a thought on my way to the Future.
