Marine Corps Intelligence
Hey everyone,
I have a question, that may be too broad for any one kind of answer. But I figured what the heck, I'll try anyway.
I just found out a good friend of mine who is in Iraq right now, is Military Intelligence with the Corps, and I was just wondering what that means? I guess this sounds like a silly question...but it's comin from someone of course who's still new and learning things about the Marine Corps.
The difference is, before I thought what he did was a Staff Sergeant in charge of some men in a unit...how does this change that? Or what all is involved?
Thanks everyone.

I'm not a Marine, so I won't get into specifics. But "intelligence" is a job. "Staff Sergeant" is a rank.

I am sure he is a SSgt in charge of some men in a unit. The unit he is in charge of the men in happens to be an intel unit. What he actually does is impossible to tell from what you have told us, because there is more than one type of intel job. Regardless, I am sure you were right both times.
