Sittin' here at home, drinkin' a cold one and watching the awards show. Suddenly Big and Rich come on and do a song that brought me to my feet. Unfortunately I did not catch the title of the song, but it was a tribute to all veterans. I am not ashamed to admit that I removed my cover, stood proudly at attention, and saluted my television as these heroic veterans from wars past came out on stage, walking, limping, and in wheelchairs. No alergies were in involved, I cried like a baby. What an absolutely tremendous thribute to all that have served and paid a cost to protect our freedom.

If anyone else watched this, and felt the same that I did, all I can say is Thank God that at least one music genre still takes the time to respect all of the people who have made us the greatest nation this world has ever known!!!! Semper Fi, country music artists, your songs tell the true story.

He was 19 and green with a new M-16

They fought for their lives but most of them died in the 173rd Airborne

Thanks for the words and reference to that song. I recorded the awards show, and just the way it was presented, and the brave Warriors who came out of the shadows to stand proudly in front of the audience, and have all in attendance standing and acknowledging, finally, for all that they have sacrificed for us will continue to bring a tear to my eyes everytime that I watch it.
