Dan Dailey won two Medals of Honor, who is the only other Marine to get two?
BTW, when you get to your first unit, ask one of the gunnies if you'll be getting issued a prick-E7.

I thought it was that on the 7th day, when god rested, the Marines stole the Eagle from the AF, the Rope from the Army, the anchor from the Navy, and overran God's perimeter and stole the world.

The 21-gun salute is not to be confused with the 3-volley salute using rifles for most military servicemembers or shotguns for police officers at their funerals.

A very interesting thing related to the 21 gun salute. The men who guard the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier take 21 steps, and stand for 21 seconds at each end of their walk in representation of this high honor.
