Exclamation Curfew during school nights.......and during school hours

Effective immediately there is a curfew of 2300 hours (or 11PM) on school nights for all Poolee's and Wannabes (still in high school) in the Chat Room. In addition, no one still in high school or middle school is permitted on during school hours. Anyone caught in the Chat Room after that hour will be disciplined by suspension up to and including total ban from the site. It is our belief that your time could be better spent sleeping, studying or with your families. It is very important that you include your location on your profiles as the time difference from coast to coast does make a difference to those living on the west coast or mountain region. This is not meant to be mean or cruel but only to protect the health and well being of our future Marine Corps. If you have any questions regarding this new policy please feel free to post them and they will be taken under advisement.

SpringBreak/Christmas/New Year holidays are all good opportunities to enjoy time with friends, family, etc. They can get out and PT or read a book. Anything except the chat room on week days.

No Means NO! No entry into the chat room for any day off for any reason.

Summer break will be the only exception to the rule. We will address then in a month or two.

You know I'm honestly surprised at the volume of questions for such a simple order.

This rule only applies to POOLEES and WANNABES who are of HIGH SCHOOL age.

If you're in college? You're okay, but spending every moment of spare time on the forum is a bad idea.
If you're a wannabe? Work towards becoming a 'Poolee'

The simple fact of this order is that you should be doing something constructive rather than the forum. The forum is a tool, sure, but you've gotta work to get to where you're gonna be, and you'll have to work harder once you get there. It'd behoove you all to be PTing like you've got a disease, Study knowledge like you've got no clue in the world, and Square away like it's going out of style.

At Boot Camp they're not going to care about your typing skills OR your activity on the Leatherneck forums. Trust me, all the Marines (and even us older members, though I'm sure it doesn't matter much) all respect you being here and wish you the best of luck, but we'll be here to offer our support, and support is more readily given to those that try their best at a task.

So just say "Aye Aye, SSgt. Nelson!" It'll be easier than sorting through posts asking variants of the same question over and over again.

Things are not repeated in here for the benefit of only one person. They get posted, re-posted, repeated, and recycled for the benefit of everyone. Get used to it. You will hear the same things over and over and over again in boot camp, for everyone's benefit. If you were to pipe up and say "Alright already, Sir, I get it!" in boot, you would eat your weight in sand in the pits. Discover tact and bearing...learn it....maintain it.

Please note that this rule is for CHAT ROOM, not the whole forum. You can read and post on the forum any time, just don't go in the chat room during those times. I don't even think there are many people chatting in the room that late.

Closed this one down, no need for all sorts of commentary/questions/or acknowledgements.....just DO it.

It has been modified. NO poolee/wannabee on here after 2300. That's the ENTIRE site during school days and hours, and weeknights.

I weep for what this country is becoming, and fear for my children and grandchildren's future if any more democrats gain national office. We lose more and more freedoms every single day to creeping nannystatism and those who vote for Democrats only want to increase that. Anyone voting for a 'dem' is someone who likely wants to take everything YOU have worked for and mortgage your kids future as well.

Time to bump this one forward.

Read and heed all wannabes and poolees!

Whether you know it or not, there is a curfew here on Leatherneck for all wannabees and poolees who are still in high school for being in chat and on the forums.

It seems as though we have a member here and there who are logging onto Leatherneck during school hours to ask questions for a school project, or whatever else, that can wait until you get home from school!

This is NOT permitted during school hours!

NO wannabee or poolee should be on Leatherneck during school hours....period! If you are found to be on Leatherneck during school hours, whether it be on the forums or in chat, will find themselves for a period to be determined away from Leatherneck.
