Thanksgiving Day ~ november 24, 1967

In keeping with Marine Corps tradition of officers eating last in the field, lt. Mullins 3rd platoon commander is seen here (the first in line in the photo, but was the last of his platoon to go through the chow line.

Behind him are 1st platoon Marines.

By the time we went through the line our lieutenant only received gravy and bread, some of the Marines from 1st platoon never received that (I remember slim servings when we went through the line).

Some of 1st platoon Marines standing perimeter watch, never received any hot chow that day.
