Going into bootcamp I had this pie in the sky idea of falling in love with my rifle, giving it a name, and so on. When we got them issued I realized how big of a piece of cr@p they are due to them being hand me downs from past units, and I hated it. The fact that my rifle seemed to jam every other round no matter how clean I kept it, might of had something to do with my sentiments towards her. Oh, and I couldn't remember my rifle serial number for the life of me. I do remember my rack number though. 78.
