Well I am a 100% Coloradoan who made the mistake of living in Ft Worth, Tarrant county in 79-82. Does that count??
Guess we all make mistakes, don't we??

Once you're here---you're one of us!
On side note, when I was coming back from Okinawa, we had a 6 hour layover in Anchorage. We decided it was more than enough time to go out and tie on on. We walked into a bar and noticed a sign that read: "To our Texas friends--not everything is bigger in Texas. If they cut Alaska in half, YOU would then be the THIRD largest state." Made us laugh, but we drank for the next 5 hours with our "blue-nosed" friends.

Do the folks in Texas still wear short hair and white sox with their best "Sunday go to meetin's?" Everybody looked like they did in 1963.
I caught all kinds of flak because I dressed in pressed Levy's, a cut off at the sleeves v-neck sweater and converse tennis shoes when I landed in San Antonio from San Francisco,California. (The land of fruit and nuts etc., etc.) LOL
Aside from the white sox with dress suits, what really impressed me was the straight forwardness, courtesy and initial politeness of everyone that I met.
