    Dont Enlist

I was messing around online today and I came upon this site by hippies for hippies. It wasnt so bad until I found this little "list" wich was right by some pictures of dead and wounded soldiers. Its not so bad I guess , everyone has a right to free speech. The problem is that young men and women read this crap and think its true. If you really want to get pizzed click on the link following the list. Remember this in no way is my list....and in no way do I agree with theese ****** pieces of ****s.

    Don't Enlist
Here are seventeen reasons I think you should not enlist in the US military and join the Iraq war.

    1. You may be killed. Your family, friends and people who love you will have a lifetime of heartache. Any children you would have fathered will be aborted with you.

2.You may be maimed, have one or more limbs amputated or lose half your face or your penis and balls. You will live the rest of your life disabled. You may be so disfigured you will never have sex again. You will be stuck with the bulk of the medical bills. Modern medicine can resuscitate badly maimed people who would have died in previous wars. This means the Iraq war is cranking out an unusually high numbers of seriously maimed people.

3.Many returning from Iraq become mental basket cases unable to deal with the horrors of war and the guilt at what they have done. Friends and family reject them. They can't hold down a job. They become homeless. Look at the way American treats the homeless vets of the Viet Nam and Iraq wars begging on the streets.

4.Over half the soldiers who served in the Gulf War, died of Gulf War Syndrome or were treated for it. They were in Iraq for only weeks. You will be there years. Read the fine print. Bush is keeping soldiers in Iraq for years after their contract expires. To this day no one knows for sure what causes Gulf War Syndrome.
You will be exposed to DU (Depleted Uranium), as were soldiers in the first Gulf War. This may cause cancer later, or even more likely will cause your children and their children to be genetically deformed.

5.You will be exposed to DU (Depleted Uranium), as were soldiers in the first Gulf War. This may cause cancer later, or even more likely will cause your children and their children to be genetically deformed.

6.Iraq is no threat to the USA. You are not defending your country. There were no WMDs. Even Bush admits Iraq had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks on 9/11.

7.You will be ordered to kill civilians and children. Once you are in the military, resisting is very difficult. You will be shot or imprisoned, and treated extremely badly if your conscience awakens. American soldiers have already killed 100,000 civilians, mostly children, and that was before Fallujah. You will kill them to. That is what soldiers do, kill people they are ordered to. If you don't believe me, have a long talk with some vets about their experiences. Keep in mind they won't be proud of it, and won't leap to tell you what they have done

8.There is some chance you may be ordered to guard and torture POWs.

9.If you are very unlucky you may be ordered to participate in the raping of young Iraqi boys and preparing kiddie porn videos of the rapes for Bush.

10.The back door draft. Everyone has been kept in Iraq far longer than the agreed term. If you find it intolerable, there is no way out. You have no idea how long you are really signing up for.
Since the U.N. has declared the war illegal, you will technically be a war criminal. This means you may at any time be arrested if you leave the country to travel in a country that subscribes to the International Court in The Hague. The USA may not forever be powerful enough to protect you from prosecution even on home soil. Everything you do in the Iraq war is illegal since the war itself is illegal. You are in much the same position as a German participating in the invasion of Poland. Recall that some Nazis faced prosecution even in their 90s.

11.The pay for active duty killing people is $14,321 US dollars a year. You are liable to be shot at 24/7. That works out to $38 a day, or $1.60 an hour. If you are a private your pay does not even increase after 6 years of experience. Minimum wage at McDonald's is $5.15 a hour. You are an idiot to risk your life for such paltry pay, especially when the work has nothing to do with defending your country.

12.Iraq is a hot, pestilent, fly-blown, stinking, hell hole.
Presuming you are a believer in punishment in the afterlife, since you will be killing innocent civilians, mostly children, you will without doubt be condemning yourself to eternal damnation. That dread will hang over your head the rest of your life.

13.When you get back, your government will treat you like ****. They reneged on veterans benefits, housing, health care, rehab…

14.When you return, many people will spit on you and treat you like ****. They will call you “baby killer” and “baby rapist”. You will receive ever increasing abuse over your lifetime as the horrors and injustice if the Iraq war surfaces. If you travel outside the USA, it will be even worse.

15.Joining the US military is a bit like joining the Mafia or the Bush crime family as an enforcer, or plotting to murder a child. It is not something you should do lightly. You should not do it just because other people told you to, or because the ads were cool, or because it's an easy job to get. You should check out carefully who it is you will be killing and why your are going to kill them. That is your responsibility, not just the president's. Once you are in the military you no longer get to choose who you kill. You are the one who will pull the trigger. You should be sure such murders are necessary, not just that the person you plan to kill “hates America”, which may well be a perfectly rational response after what America did to him, his family and his country and no reason to kill anyone. In Afghanistan, you will find the reason to kill is to guard a pipeline for Unocal and to guard the opium crop for the Bush crime family that, through Afghanistan, now controls 87% of the world's heroin. In Iraq, you are there to steal oil for American oil companies by terrifying the locals through shock & awe into giving it up. You also want to consider the consequences to yourself. You are setting yourself up as a war criminal, same as any Nazi. Iraq is an illegal war. You are potential subject to the same Nuremberg war-crimes trials as the Nazis were. Following orders is no excuse for murder or torture. Also consider the penalty you will take on your physical, mental and spiritual health. Plan enlistment as carefully as you would any other premeditated murder of a stranger.

There is nothing original here, with exception of the depleted Uranium. Like everything else, they just ripped off their parents!

The facts were that the Vietnam vets held jobs longer, and consistantly rose in their professions; There was no greater mental health cases of vets than those of the Peace Movement; Alcoholism and drug use by the vet was less than the peace Movement; More people were killed at home driving their vehicles and by drug overdoses than were killed in the combat years of the Vietnam War; and, there was less criminal behavior exhibited by the men that served in Vietnam, and less went to prison than those that stayed behind in the peace movement. Other than that, they were wrong about everything else, why not this as well!

It appears to me - who lost a Marine during Viet Nam, married a second and raised a third Marine who is currently on his second tour in Iraq - that these neo-hippies have once again forgotten a very valid point....would you be able to say these things and act the way you if the men and women of our military were not on that wall 24/7/365?

Geroge Orwell said it well - people sleep at night because rough men stand ready to do justice.

    Think about it, hippie.

Of course this list is just some words some tree huggers hanging out with Cindy Sheehan made up, but I still think its a load of crap. I know that everyone has a right to free speech but I wish just for one day theese fukheads would walk in soldier or Marines shoes. I just wish they would understand that the only reason that they can talk ****e is cuz , just like marinemom said .."people sleep at night because rough men stand ready to do justice".
Dont mind me ....Im just a little ole grunt bichin

    lol

As long as we have mentioned Sheehan, has any of the media asked her, Why her son still has no Gravestone on his grave in a private cemetery she had him placed in as of yet? Or, Why it was that her son, Casey, was raised by his father instead of her? Or, What happened to the money she was given by the government that was to be used for the purpose of providing a gravestone for the fallen soldier?

She recently visited with Senator McCain, who was fool enough to give her an audiance, and the first thing she did when she walked out of McCain's office was declare him a "War Monger"! People say the President is not a smart man, but he is smart enough to not meet with her twice!

Ms Sheehan went to the Democrat Governor of Arizona, and asked her, Governor Napolitano, to pull the Arizona NG out of Iraq. The Governor (Who would not meet with Ms Sheehan)informed Ms Sheehan (Through a State Representative) that the troops would stay as long as they are needed by the US Government! I do not have many good things to say of our governor, but I am man enough to say, "Thank You Governor Napolitano for not being pulled into this loser's (Sheehan's) political web."

RLeon, actually that might not be true, I just did some reading just 2 days ago about how the Army requested and got its entrance requirements dropped like never before.. I am pretty sure half a heart beat, and the IQ of road kill will get you in the Army.

If memory serves me correctly, the recruiting targets were going to be those who had a high probability of dropping out of high school.

    Army to pay for GEDs

    By Joseph R. Chenelly
    Times staff writer

Army recruiters now have a wider pool to find future soldiers in. The Army is reaching out to a slice of America’s youth long ineligible to serve: non-high school graduates who don’t have a General Equivalency Diploma
Recruiters can now go after that demographic through the “Army Educations Plus” option, the Army announced Tuesday.

If an individual has been out of high school for at least six months, can pass a physical exam and the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, he or she may be eligible for help getting a GED.

The program allows recruiters to enlist a high school dropout, according to S. Douglas Smith, a spokesman for the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. But the enlistee must have the GED before shipping off to basic training. The Army will pay for individuals to attend a course to prepare for the GED test and will cover the cost of taking the GED exam.

Before attending the GED course on the Army’s tab, the person must enlist into the Army’s delayed entry program, Smith said.

The regular Army, Army Reserve and Army National Guard are each offering this option, as of Tuesday.

What will not change is the Army’s cap on the percentage of how many new soldiers may enlist with a GED versus a high school diploma, Smith said. That limit is 10 percent of all new soldiers for the year.

Smith said last week that senior Army leadership has acknowledged that the active duty Army, Reserve and Guard will each miss their respective annual goals for fiscal 2005, which ends this month.

Outlaw, that list is awesome. Pure hilarity at it's finest. It sounds really similar to something my ex-girlfriends mom tried to feed me before I deployed in support of OIF-1 (pure bullsh*t). She asked if I wanted her to drive me to Canada that night. I pretty much just laughed in her face. The girl's horrible hippy family was one of the reasons that her and I didn't work out. Oh well.

It is OBIVIOUS they don't have a clue what they are talking about and pulling what they think is the true outta their backsides.

Just because we have freedom of speech, doesn't mean you say anything you want...

    stupidity at its finest.
