B.B. rifles (air rifles) for target practice?
Quite a few years ago I believe that I read where B.B. rifles were used as a training vehicle for close quarter target practice during the Vietnam conflict. (Something about reacting, pointing and shooting.)
I was wondering if any of you ever had to go through that training or if this training wasn't part of the Marine Corps curriculum. This subject was brought up recently so I thought that I would ask the experts.
Thanks in advance.

NO MATTER WHAT HAND HELD OR SHOULDER FIRED WEAPON,ALWAYS REMEMBER:
CONCENTRATE ON A CLEAR FRONT SIGHT TIP,CENTERED BOTH VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY IN THE REAR SIGHT APERTURE.WITH A STEADY TRIGGER PULL TO THE REAR,ALLOWING THE HAMMER TO FALL WITHOUT DISTURBING SIGHT ALIGNMENT,OR SIGHT PICTURE.

As a follow up I found that air rifles were used by the Marine Corps and the Army during the Vietnam conflict as training apparatus. A fellow at work mentioned that is was called "quick shoot" training. Thanks for your input.
