For Formation runs? Not very fast. I'd say if you hopped on a treadmill and threw the speed on 5-7 or such you'd be in the ballpark.

you run the pace of your slowest recruit because yall are only as good as him so if he fails you all fail if he is slow you all go slow...

While running a PFT its individual, you run at your own pace. Actually if your seen running with a buddy your Drill Instuctors will get on your case. Durring other runs like 1 1/2 2 or 3 mile runs they break u down into groups ( snails turtels or rabbits) and a Drill Instructor would take each group. At the end of training u do Platoon runs and call cadence its very slow cause u run at the slowest Rec.s speed. But if your platoon dosnt sound off youll all go into a full sprint, and sprinting while in a formation and trying to stay together is not easy or fun.

treadmills are not good to run on if your trying to build endurance. Because remember its the belt that is traveling 8.5 miles an hour, not you. You only get about 40% the work out you would on a treadmill then if you ran by normal. So if you want to see a good pace. get a padomiter, one that tells speed and mileage.
