News media policital party?

Heard this on the radio last week and been thinking about it ever since. Alot of the major news media almost seem like their own party, I really dont trust the media anymore. It seems as if they are more self serving than anything, I really dont agree with their new way of saying "US military today..." What ever happened to "The military today..." Are they no longer American or have they seperated in to their own faction? Just wondering what everyones view on this was.
