So, I'm not sure, but I may have been screwed.

I placed in the 98th percentile on the ASVAB today and told my recruiter I wanted combat correspondent. He gave me a general contract and said he'd give the the correspondent contract after I pass my medical exam in a few days. Is this normal or is he trying to fill a unpopular jobs?

Same thing happend to me. I want to be a Combat Correspondent too. You fill out your MOS contract later I believe. Grats on the ASVAB, I scored a 78 on mine. Haha

I really took my time on the test to tell you the truth. There's a month long wait before you can take the test a second time, so I figured I should try and knock it out on my first try.

I've seen combat correspondent on here a few times. Anyone have any tips on how to get into this? I've written/photographed for several newspapers and did some work in Lebanon after the war. Also have like 38 college credits. How realistic of a shot do fresh recruits have? I heard only higher ranks get directly into it...

Intel was my first choice, but someone in my DEP program snagged it from me 3 days before I went in to sign my job contract.

    RSSGreecePoolee,

what did you go with instead

I'm going sometime this week, when ever I get my medical records faxed down here from Ohio, but I'm wanting 5811 or 0311, both I've heard were very hard to get.
