ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Not since December 1950 have Marines set foot on the west
side of the Chosin Reservoir in The Democratic People's Republic of North
Korea. That long absence ended on Sept.12 as Medal of Honor winner and
former Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps General Raymond G. Davis
visited the November and December 1950 Korean War battle sites where he and
other heroes had fought in the debilitating cold south of the frozen Yalu
River.
