When did you enter Boot Camp?
I started recruit Training 38 years ago today 16 Sept 1964 –
Platoon 285, Company K, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion MCRDPI
In those days it was a 13 week training schedule.
38 Damn Years, where the HE!! did the time go?
Boot to some, Salt to many, and just your old basic Jar Head

hi bob my name is harry mac and i went to the royal marines commando training centre to do my training 24 jun 1984 with 189 troop. still enjoying the job hoping to extend past my 22years

I went to boot camp a little over 27 years ago on 28 August 1975. Still carrying my pack and plan to retire in 2005.

See a Few Boots Here
Left for Boot Camp PI, August 15, 1961, Plt 253. We spent the first night in the Corps in a motel at Philadelphia Airport. Plane we we suppose to fly on never got off the ground. Next day took a nice bus ride to PI.

Flag day '67.
14Jun67 Plt 395 MCRD San Diego.
Lucky us, they needed hot bodies in the Nam so it was 8 weeks.

I began training August 9, 1983 at MCRD PISC, 2ndRTBn., F Co., Plt 2086. I graduated on October 28, 1983.

... to P.I., New Years Eve, 1975. Spent about a week in receiving before being picked up.
