How come you guys havent mentioned push ups? i know they make you do them in bootcamp,so why not consider that number?
    push-ups/77
    Pull ups/27
    Sit ups/125
Run Time/9:23 1 and half miles-i need work on that
My advice is to learn to love working out,its the only thing i do now,i'm just preparing for bootcamp,as i know it will just get harder.

    What's this about tattoos?

Marines have tattoos, i know though there are requirements which are always changing. I am sure your allowed to have a tattoo just as long as: There are no more than 5, they can't take up a certain percentage of the body, and it can't be gang related. Also after in service i believe your are not supposed to get any on the forearm or below.
    Anyways.

    PFT
    Pullups-18-20
    Crunches-90
    1/2 Mile-11:12
    Push-ups- 75
3 Mile- 24:00 (First time ever ran that far down for NROTC PFT test)

    Ship date: September 20th, 2004?

good point why didnt we add push ups? The most I ever did at once was 157 for a PE push up comp (ugh). At night before bed I do an even 100

charlesroc if you can do 27 pullups you should be able to do hella more push ups than 77 you just not try?

Pel-yeah i just didn't try pull ups,i'll get better at it the long run,its like one of those parts of my body i havent got around to yet.but push ups,and pull ups, thats two different muscles right there, and yeah if i can do 77 i should be able to do more than 27,but look at you,you can do 100 pushups at nite and you can't do more then 26 pull ups? who at this point doesn't make sense. If pushups really effected pullups, then why didn't they make one that combines the two,i mean your the one who pointed this out,so figure it out.

so far my best IST score is
    11-pull ups
    98-crunches
    10:04-1 1/2 mile

You must run 3 miles under 18 minutes, Pullups are easy I am 54 and can still do 19 lol.
Sit-up's you do always, but don't fret if you can't do it now when and if you join us in the Corps , Boot camp will see what your body can really stand!
    Have fun!!

PS. for 0300 MOS Boot camp is not the hardest part!!

charlesroc... as in 27 pull ups is an accomplishment... you dont need to get better... and being able to do 27 pull ups should help you to get a huge number of push ups in... and its the same muscles... Run through the different kinds of push ups... Diamonds.... normal... and wide... do 20 diamonds 20 wide and 60 normal.... why dont they make a workout that combines the two? bc of gravity? I mean unless you have like a hella strong grip and or able to have 90 degres of your arms and body while hanging from a pull up bar.... or maybe the palms out pull ups are kinda a better workout of the 2... (I can do 18 of those) otherwise I dont know of a workout that works both.. benching maybe? pluss charlesroc all I was really saying was that if you really tried. Im positive that you could easily get your 100 pushups... AHHH Verticle Rower? that does both doesnt it?

Ironman. Hmm.. if you make it through boot I bet you've got a chance.

Why didnt we add pushups? Because its not on the PFT. Thats like saying "why didnt we add cherry pickers, mountain climbers, and side-straddle hops?"

I can only do about 50 pushups at a time. But I can spit out max+ on the pullups.
