In need of some help!

I have a friend who wants to join up but he can't swim...any one that just graduated or can help me? won't they help him learn in bootcamp? Plz help!

He does get "some" help..or at least they did when I went. They took the "aqua-rocks" to the shallow end to some help. But get him some swimming lessons now...

make sure he can swim breast stroke, side stroke, and back stroke. as long as he can do that and tread water for a few mins he'll be fine and get at the least a swim qual 4. i don't remember any of the DIs giving recuits any "help", but i may be wrong about how it is now or how it will be in the upcomming months/years. i know i didn't get any help.....

they will teach him in boot camp alright. He will learn real fast when they push off that diving board

He'll get help like they did guys when I went thru boot. push you in and said swim or sink your choice.

damn...pretty harsh oh well if he want's to become a Marine then he's gonna have to learn then i guess...i'll try to teach him
