Trying to find my dads platoon number

Good afternoon everyone. I am not sure if I am in the right place, but I am wondering how I would go about finding my dads platoon number. He passed away last yr from covid and I just received his DD-214 today! It took about a yr, and I am so grateful! He passed away up in NY and I am here in Florida, so this has been really tough. His date of entry was May 24, 1960 and was discharged on May 26, 1964. Not sure where to go, and I've been dealing with a girlfriend that is holding all of my dads stuff hostage and will not give anything to us. I have been getting the info all on my own. Thank you so much for any information that can point me in the right direction. Have a great day, and thank you! Here is a picture of my handsome father. Jacqueline H.

You can get his entire service record also, then I can assist you in possibly locating buddies of his.

Personnel records center. ..St Louis ....the exact address is easily available

You're welcome. PM me with any questions. And when you get the service records the next step will be to do a one-site search for his buddies.

Dave, thanks for helping this young Lady. Now.....I have a request. I played poker with a few friends last night. I ended up losing my Azz, anyway you can help me find it, Brother?? I don't have any photos of it, but I did get it in 1947. I guess you would say it was a typical White Azz, you know, kinda fleshy, divided into halves with a big hole right in the center of it. It's pretty well worn out, as it has been through a lot Shet since 47. Any help would be appreciated Dave. But please hurry, as I'm constipated as hell........
