The District of Columbia National Guard Presidential Inauguration Support Ribbon, top, and the District of Columbia Emergency Service Ribbon. The D.C. National Guard plans to award at least one of two ribbons to all soldiers and airmen who supported the security mission before, during and after the 59th presidential inauguration in recognition of their service.

Well Mike.....it's the least they should get. I mean any time you walk into harms way you should be recognized. Would you expect less, after barely surviving all those heavily armed men with death in their eyes. I would think they should also have a "V" attachment on their ribbon.

I agree, they each stared into the eyes of certain death. Or, maybe they should each get a big mac instead. Just saying.

the Army and Air Farce have always passed out "participation medals" and badges... one AF base used to give a ribbon for passing "barracks room inspection".... some of these youngsters walk around with more "confetti" on their chest than Chesty Puller, Lew Walt and Audie Murphy combined.... LOL...
