Waiver for becoming an officer.
Hello Marines,
i was just curious about a point waiver on my asvab score for becoming an officer. I scored a 73 and my recruiter was saying they can do a point waiver. Is this possible? Would
this be something that could be easily waived? Thank you.

Yes, they can do point waivers for SOME things. I don't know if an officer slot is one of them. You need to deal with an OSO (officer selection officer) if you are serious about becoming an officer, not an enlisted recruiter.
All I know is I had high enough scores to do anything in the Marines Corps, including officer. I just didn't have the college.

Thanks for the response. I’m sorry I meant OSO. I have my package all ready for the review board. The only item missing is either my asvab score or the SAT/ACT score. Yes they said they can do a point waiver. Now that being said. I had to restest and my score dropped from a 73 to a 70. I’ve heard they take the latest score so that would suck. Thanks again.
