This Day in 1941

Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese. A day that will, as FDR said, live in infamy. Hopefully it won't be forgotten, as it recedes back into the past more and more with each passing year. We should remember what happened on that Sunday morning long ago.

Salute, to all those who served in the Great War.....which includes many of our Fathers, Uncles, and Grandfathers. A time in our History when men were patriotic and honorable.

And let's not forget our time as well, for it was on this date back in 1968 that I realized that I was going to live. Great day in my book. If I hadn't lived many sweet young things back in the world would have lived much lessor lives.

I was 7 years old when this took place. Watched 3 of my Uncles go off to the big one and luck would have it, they all returned back home.

Mike, it was one of those events where all Americans came together and took care of business........maybe the last it will ever happen.
