    Good places to retire

Thought this would make a good link. I can think of some good places to retire, but so far, my idea is like this. Keep my home in Texas, just use it as a spring board to travel whenever I feel like it, like say, go to Central America for a couple of months, but always have my home here with my two cars to come back to. Stay a while, then move on to Europe for a couple of months and so forth.
Texas is good in that it sits geographically well situated. I can be in New York in 3 hours or Central America in 3 hours for instance. I can be in Alaska in 7, San Fran in 4, Boston in 4, Mexico in 2, Panama in 4 for instance, Florida in 2. Not to mention, I have free flight privileges with my airline or discounted air fare, ID90 for life with any major airline. So why give up my home in Houston all together?

And though Houston does have its drawbacks, with size, congestion, I live in an area that is suburban, not as bad as sections inside the loop, don't commute far either, plus great medical here, and its an international city. Not too expensive to live here, Mexican food is not that bad, neither is any other kinds of food here, winters are nice, though can get freezing a few times per year, summers are the time to book outa here. Flights here are major with great airports and even cruise terminals from here.
