    Post PFC to LCPL

    can i go from pfc to lcpl in 8 months if my tis and tig are the same or do I have to have the 9 months this required as well?

    depends, there are meritorious promotions, used to be if you were a squared away Marine and was motivated and showed initiative, you could be recommended for it. but today's Marine Corps is a little different, a lot will depend on your billet and unit.
