    Military Relationship Reversed

I am currently in the process of enlisting, working on a BUMED for my left knee that was reconstructed during my sophomore year of high school. I've been with my RSS since this past October.

My recruiters have said that my ship date (most likely) will be in October if all goes well, though I know that's not a guarantee by any means. But my boyfriend has been looking for people who have been where he's headed, with the girlfriend going into the service.

I've searched the forums as well as other websites for answers, though can't find anything. If anyone has any experience with this, please give me any and all advice or stories you can!

Ask him If he'll wait for you .....

"You'll be true to him while you're gone"

Reddit has a usmilitaryso sub. There are currently a couple guys with girlfriends at Parris Island over there.

He's not a Marine, currently a freshman in college on the road to becoming a doctor. He's extremely supportive, thought we both worry about our relationship while I'm away so long. I've been even contemplating Reserves while I get my degree

perhaps YOU should "rethink" the direction in which YOU are headed... It would appear that you are more concerned with your boyfriend than the Marine Corps and are therefore not likely to do well with either. Stay home and get your degree, deal with your relationship with your boyfriend, then decide if the Corps is what you want ...
