I just recently joined the website / My first question
Hello I have just recently joined the website, and I was curious to see if any Marine. Could possibly answer my simple question.
Today I was thinking about how boot camp will be for me. When my mind started to think about the Marine Corps Birthday. I will be in boot camp still in November. So I was curious if we would celebrate the Marines birthday while in boot camp. I understand that we are not Marines until after boot camp. I know this is something I shouldn't even be thinking about this, but I am curious.

Oh I'm sure the drill instructors will have something special planned for the birthday. Probably all sorts of fun activities, complete with games and prizes.

They may give you an extra 10 minutes in the chowhall to eat. Still, don't expect to finish everything on your tray.

You will, without a doubt, celebrate the Corps birthday, and it will be without a doubt, again, memorable to the day you die.

They'll let you celebrate with a little extra time in the sandpit.
Enjoy!
