IRR Getting Close to EOS. Filed Extenssion month ago. Am I good since I filed it?

I filled an extension a month ago Via EPAR they said it would take a week. I got a hold Headquarters and only 3 Marines that work on IRR Extensions. It's been a month now, and I got one more month till my EOS. Since I filled all the paperwork am I covered if they don't get the EPAR submited to HQMC?

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know a quick way to get an extension done. Call a PSR and join a local unit. Don't LAT move or accept a retention bonus (unless you want to). They'll extend your IRR by a year and you'll be joined to a reserve unit. Then if you want, just drop back to the IRR after your first drill. It only takes a few days to join a unit, but you may have to drive. I was about to do that until I decided to join the Army.
