Getting Highlighter stain out of cammies
So i'm fresh outta bootcamp and during one of our fire watches, we washed our cammies and some dumbass left his highlighter in his pocket and stained 3 other recruits cammies including mine. I have MCT in a couple days and i was wondering if there was a way to get the stains out of the cammies before i go to MCT

First clue is to wash your own things, I guess if that was me I would be getting different ones, lesson learned, Semper Fidelis.

^^^recruits don't have that option. They wash how the DI's tell them to.
Cammies today have certain washing instructions. Don't know about stain removal. You're probably better off just replacing them with new ones as soon as you get there.

Well, welcome aboard, Marine, it's good to have fresh meat^H^H^H^H members joining!
For the cammies, I don't know of anything that can get highlighter stains out, that's probably permanent. So my advice is what Top said - buy a new pair when you get to MCT and set those stained ones aside as field cammies for later on (you know you'll need 'em).
Unless they've got BIG bright yellow stains on 'em. Then they might be unserviceable, and you might even be able to survey that pair and get a new pair issued. Not sure how that works nowadays, I've been out for a while.
But go git some, Devil Dog, and check in on the forums when you get a chance, it's good to have active Marines contributing!

OXY-CLEAN ???
not busting balls Sweetpea -but.....
You dont say where you are now -
or how much time you have to get
Squared away........
IF the highliter was WATERBASE -REPEATED
soap and water washings should get it out........
the trouble comes when you find the Highliter
was not water soluble ...you will have to use a SOLVENT..
your choices can go from gasoline/kerosene/diesel fuel/
MINERAL-sprits,,,,the list goes on and on....
All will have you to consider NOT to light yourself
and things around you on fire like Michel Jackson
or Richard Pryor
OR you might take then to a DryCleaner
and let a pro do it ?????
your time-
your money-
your life ????
good luck with it and

Rubbing alcohol or non acetone nail polish remover...blot the stain.
It may fade enough to use for the field.
But I would get new cammies.

I think I can answer this one. If you can't afford to buy new ones, spend 2 dollars and get a green and tan hilighter and go over the yellow. NO ?
