News about "Jinelson" ssgt Jim Nelson

    Hello everybody

I didn t come here for years; and i must apologise for my english wish is far to be perfect

Our friend Jinelson is in trouble; he was a big deal around here and help a lots of peoples. He was posting everyday for years; but maybe he stoped for some years.

Anyway here is his sister s message that explain it better.

Acts of Kindness requested. My brother Jim Nelson is a Vietnam War Veteran who was exposed to Agent Orange during his service to our Country as a Marine. This deadly chemical has tried three times to get the best of Jim's body via cancer. I'm heartbroken to tell you Jim has been diagnosed once again with the agressive small cell carcinoma that has invaded his left lung and grown in size to paralyze his vocal cords. Jim has chosen no more chemo or radiation. I just returned from Colorado spending 30 days with him sharing memories and saying our good byes. I ask that if you are so in kind to mail him a card or note simply saying thank you for your service or jotting down a memory you have with him the nurses at the Old Glory Home located inside the Cheyenne Wyoming VA Medical Center agreed to display in his room. Jim is unable to verbally communicate but can open mail and read. Nobody should have the feelings of loneliness at end of life. I thank you for being a part of my brothers life and a card/ note would put a smile on his face, that I so very much want for him. Thank you! Mail to: James Nelson @ Cheyenne Wyoming VA Medical Center - CLC Hospice Room # 1711. 2360 East Pershing Blvd. Cheyenne Wyoming 82001.
Thanks a lot to everybody who might help.

It's been many years since I've heard from you Robin.
    Thank you for posting.
Jim was very well respected on the forum and a great contributor.

I know he hasn't been feeling well for years now.

Thoughts and Prayers outbound for my brother and I will send him a letter....

Please keep us posted when that time comes on this thread.

Please consider dropping a line or a card to Jim. As I mentioned before, he was a moderator/squad leader here for years, a long time ago. Well liked and respected by all. I wanted to keep this thread from falling to the wayside as new threads are posted. Consider writing to him even if it's a short note, whether you knew him or not. In his situation, I would imagine that anything received would be warmly welcomed.

I was good friends with Jim, he is really great guy. Me and him mentored several poolees on here, he had great patience and really cared about them, he even flew to Atlanta when our poolee Matt was killed in a car wreck to help his mother.
Rocky, mayby you could print out everything on here and send it to him so he can know that we all care about him.
SF Jim, your still and will always be my brother.
And sorry, Jim would have told me that I should have said, Jim and I, sorry, I was a 0311.
