What's the right path?

Hey Marines! I just recently enlisted and I am waiting to graduate so I can ship off to bootcamp. For the longest time I have wanted to go into Recon like my grandfather was but here recently I was introduced to the idea of EOD. I was hooked on the spot but I am not really sure what the best path is to take. Now I know you guys don't like to repeat yourselfs but I would really appreciate hearing this straight from the horse's mouth. I would like to know the best path to take for EOD and what the requirements are. Thanks a lot!

you could do both....go infantry/recon for your first enlistment and then put an EOD package together

requirements: be a NCO, have some fleet/deployment experience, have the required asvab score(not sure what it is), be recommended
