josephd, isn't He putting the cart before the horse, I would think He would be worried about finishing Boot Camp first .

yes he should be more worried about that, I agree....but if he is going to get contracted into Recon he better be concerned about getting through it cuz if he doesn't he could end up being into an MOS he'll hate

I get tired of all the Recon/MARSOC/SS questions just like the rest of ya'll

For the benefit of all readers, the Marine Corps has a lot more to offer than slots in recon, MARSOC, sea duty, and the like. AND< if you MUST ask about these aspects of the Corps, how about a site search here, which will grant you about 20 million discussions about these things over the years.
