Open Contract Thoughts

Hello, I have a question for all marines and hope i could get as much help as possible on this question I have about having this open contract. I have been in the DEP program for about 6 months now and have chosen to go on a open contract due to the fact that my recruiter had informed me that there recently was no available open spots for an infantry MOS. Is having an open contract a bad thing and is it impossible to get an infantry MOS with an open contract going into boot camp? I have gotten some feedback from other marines in person but not so sure there answers are reliable due to the fact that they all had various answers.

I would say retake you test and see what your score is and do your best to score high. Back when I went in we took one at the recruiters office then once we went to boot camp they gave us another test same as the recruiter did. and the higher the score the better you have for better placement in there. Just saying there are Options to look at..
