Assisting a late Marine's elderly wife?

    Hello,

I am an Airman in the USAF and my husband is a Sailor in the USN. My husband's great grandfather, Marine Sgt. Jacob Kitchen passed away in 2006 (http://www.leatherneck.com/forums/sh...ag-on-Iwo-Jima). Eight years later, my husband's great grandmother, Tsuyako, is being admitted to the hospital for care.

It was hinted to us that her assets were in danger of running out when she was receiving in-home care from family. Now that she will be receiving care in the hospital, her bills are going to jump significantly. I am looking to help meet the demand in any way possible. I have started a GoFundMe account and the link is as follows: http://www.gofundme.com/kitchencare

As I came across such a detailed obituary of my late great grandfather-in-law on this forum, I thought this might be one of the few places of people who would understand and care about this cause. I sincerely apologize if this is the wrong place to post this. If anyone has any other tools or ideas as to raise money for her care, please let me know.

Sgt. Kitchen was a great man. He did many great things for his family and left an honorable legacy. I hope to preserve that legacy and give his widow the peace of mind she deserves. Any support is welcome.

    Regards,
    SrA Harris

Veterans Angels is the way to go.

You cannot soliciate money on this forum and I noticed also you are promoting the sale of goods on it.

Just giving you a heads up before you get in trouble here.

    Best of luck to you.
