The funny thing about when I took the ASVAB my sophomore year of high school is that it was on paper, and I put down the wrong test book number. So, I received a 3. They were really skeptical when I took the test at MEPS and had a score of 89, GT over 120 and pretty nice line scores.

Either way, I plan on doing Infantry to get to 0321. But my end result is 0317, and if by some chance I can't make 0321, I can still get the Scout Sniper slot.

Your recruiter didn't give you a job?

You sign an SOU at the RSS level, you'll see the contract the next time you go to MEPS before you ship.

Oh, I didn't pick 0321 or 0317. I'm pretty sure my first choice was 03XX. Should I get them changed to specific things, or would that even matter since I haven't shipped out yet.

Do you even know what an SOU is? If you aren't following a word I'm saying you may need to have a word with your recruiter..

Well I was sat down after MEPS to pick out three choices from a list in an information booklet. Most of them just listed the difference between the 03XX, 04XX, 05XX, etc. I chose Infantry, Artillery, and EOD. And I signed the Statement of Understanding before I even went to MEPS. My recruiter said I had until my ship date to change my MOS choices.

I've always felt average at best except with mechanics.
Been working on motorcycles and all my own vehicles all my life.

I Cant remember what my MM score was but I think it was really good because I originally wanted MOS 3521 Motor T mechanic. And When I said that to my recruiter he replied "God damn that would be a waste of your talent", He showed me a few other jobs dealing with mechanic's that I had never heard of and I ended up choosing MOS 1341 Engineer Equipment Mechanic.

Sounds like a good job to me but I'm having a hell of a time finding any info on what its really like. I would like to hear from anyone with info on this MOS.

Yeah good luck with that by the way... You may have to slay the lava monster with an NCO sword then scale a huge rock in the middle of the desert with no climbing gear to nail that job..

So I signed for NBC but my ship date was delayed, and now I might get Combat Camera.. kind of disappointed, but still, at least I'm going and it's a job I can do well.
