hey every one i am new here, i am 15, and i am a sophmore in highschool. i am in NJROTC and my comander told me to take the ASVAB. I got a 97 and everyone is freakin out. i am not sure what i want to do in the marines. i also don't really know what this score is used for. help please.

This score is used to determine what jobs you are eligable for. Looks like your pretty much a go for anything you want to do.

I got a 73 on the ASVAB, I qualified and signed up for 0651 - Data Network Specialist.

ASVAB - 98, I don't remember exactly what I got on the line scores, but they were all above 130.

I got a 77 on the ASVAB. I'm open contract for now but I'm going to try to get 0231(intelligence specialist), 0211(counter intel specialist) or 4066 (Small Computer Systems Specialist). Any ways, I'll anywhere the Corps needs me to go. 10 more months 'til I ship out!

Well, I was pretty dissatisfied with my ASVAB score. I got a 75 but my line scores were all pretty good. I wanted to go re-test but my recruiter said that I was a go for any job I wanted with my scores. So I didn't re-test. I still want a higher score though. I'm a 4400, shooting for 4421 (legal services)

Great Score...but uh... I hope you know your not garenteed Scout Sniper man... when you sign for your MOS you will sign a open 03 (infantry) contract... you will be lucky if you get scout sniper. I want to be 0311 (Rifleman) but ya know I could end up being a damn 0331 (Machinegunner, which I would like to have too) pretty much depending on where they need you.

I'm new to this site, and to considering the Corps. I took the practice ASVAB test in the recruiter's office, and I scored something like a 34? I'm assuming thats really low. Can anyone clear up What that score means, because my recruiter said it's only a "practice test" and that wouldn't be my actual score. I'm afraid I'll score bad on it because I'm not too great in math, but other than that, I'm hoping I'll do okay.
