    Pay During Recruit Training?

    Hello everyone,

I got to Parris Island on 20140722 and I was discharged ("entry level separation") and was given an "erroneous enlistment" because I had a cyst on my jaw bone that nobody knew about until the Navy Corpsman did x-ray's of my mouth upon arriving to recruit training. I was put in RSP ("recruit separation platoon") and shortly after being placed in there, the Drill Instructor took myself as well as a few other recruits dealing with the same stuff to the bank on Parris Island (Navy Federal Credit Union", and when I got there, there was only $29 in my account? Why is this and when will I get paid again. I just checked online and the balance is still the same. I thought pay for an E-1 is around $1,500 per month? The CO told me I should be paid until the day I left Parris Island (which is today -- 20140815) because I'm NOT a fraudulent enlistment. Will I get paid on the one month mark or what?

Thank you for any help you may have. There are several of us dealing with similar issues.

You shouldn't get paid anything. As a matter of fact, you should get a bill in the mail for services rendered to you like clothing, free transportation, meals, etc.

Ever other recruit is being paid who was determined to be "erroneous" though.

You were given an Entry Level Seperation ( Discharge ) you said after 1 day upon examination when you arrived at Recruit Training. $29.00 sounds right for 2 days. Do the math per month.

You also have to get your status change form " Poolee/DEP " to " Marine Friend ".

    Best of luck to you.
Send a PM to the owner Shaffer. If you can't catch him here you can try Facebook I heard.
