ROTC opinions

Hello Marines,

To get straight to the point, I am a senior in HS and have made the decision to enlist in the Marines. My preference would be to wait until I am eighteen and then go straight to boot camp. Recently I have been highly encouraged to look at doing the ROTC program (I am aware i would have to go through the Navy for this). In order to make an informed decision between the two, I am doing research and talking to my recruiter soon. Just curious about other Marine's opinions and suggestions.
