I was going to change the thread title from "Edit" to "Edit Window", but by the time I got to it I ran out of time.

Is this the general concensus 15 minutes ?

Yes. It only matters to those of us who can't get a post right the first time anyway!

The short edit time has been a problem. Sometimes I don't even notice a mistake until later and then it's too late even with a 15 minute time limit. What is the purpose of a limit anyway? What if I just wanted to correct spelling or a reference and it was a hour later? On another site there is no time limit, and sometimes the next day I will see where I left out a word and go back and fix it. Just saying.

Just an FYI, we dont have a time limit on editing posts on the CVMA forum and as long as I have been a moderator there, we have never had a problem or any confusion with someone editing their posts.

The only problem or confusion that I can see is when someone quotes another members post and then the member edits his/her post, the quote is wrong and it becomes a " You said, no I didn't say thing " . It's happened here when members post back to back.

    We shall see.
