it's been real and it's been fun, but not real fun

The Ask A Marine section only--I go in there fairly often, but for general questions like a guy's parents don't think USMC is the way to go, things like that---or to just plain encourage someone in general, but I too am lost when it comes to "technical" info such as how do I do this or that, or apply for this or that....and sometimes I come out and tell them that a recruiter is your best bet, because some of the info you get here may not in fact be true, but not because folks are deliberately misleading you, but because the info may just be erroneous or outdated.

So for very general advice, I try to say a few words.
