41 yrs in may for me the thing I remember was watch this guy come in yelling and I wondered what the hell then saw him go to a bunk with a guy still sleeping in the top and flip both bunks over I was up and standing in front of mine as fast as I could way before he got to me saying to myself "what the f*ck did you get into"

51 years ago for me. That very first night I could not remember what it was like to have been a civilian. Had just turned 17 two weeks before arriving at Parris Island.

32 years for me. Locked & cocked from the moment off the plane. Standing in the SanDeigo airport at night. Then I remember the yellow foot prints. The Best decision I ever made. It got me through a lot later on in life. Semper Fi, fellow Marines! Once a Marine, Always a Marine. How true
