Was suppose to ship next month

Hey all. ( Marines ) I don't post on here much so forgive me if my posting is wrong.

Anyways my ship date was May 12th but my recruiter called me saying there was a mistake with my asvab.

I passed the AFQT but I needed an 80 on the GT.

In other words he said I qualified for my job which was legal admin but I didn't qualify for the Marine Corps.

Anyone have advice or opinions cause now I'm technically not a Poolee and not even enlisted.

Ok there is alot of unanswered questions. If you got a ship date you are a poolee. What are they telling you? Are you retaking the asvab? Thats the only thing I can think of that you can do.

BUT , methinks you may have it backwards ???

IN most likely hood, your recruiter may have said
you qualify for entry as a recruit, but lack a high
enough score for your desired mos...

Either way,,, contact him again and find your
current options...

Open slots are getting harder and harder to find

Okay I met with my recruiter and apparently I needed an 80 on the GT score, and I only got a 78. So I just got to retake the asvab and get a new ship date.
