Current state of the US Armed Forces

Below is a link to the "Defense One" website's analysis of the current state of defense. It is an interesting, informative and sobering outlook at the readiness of US combat forces. I wish I could have posted it in the Headlines Forum but I don't have those privileges. I encourage all to give it a read and start a dialogue here. Cheers.

Change is coming now to our Armed Forces, we know this.

Will it be a change for the good ? We shall see but I know one thing.

We will remain the Worlds Force In Readiness...

I'm responding to this a little late, but wanted to just say that the military as a whole constantly changes. It's no different than societal beliefs. This is the same argument we've been hearing for years with old timer's saying it'll be worse or whatever. The Corps is hands down the most efficient, most reliable, and most elite service in the DoD as a whole. And, we are the first to make adjustments that make practical sense. Everyone else is only in existence to do a couple things.....give us a ride, get in our way, or clean up!
