Possible Mos Choices for Reserves

Hi everyone,
This is going to be the stereotypical Poolee MOS question, so please pardon the ignorance. I enlisted about a month ago and have a ship date of 20140512 (varies on MOS). So right now I am assigned 1341 (Engineer equipment mechanic). I was thinking about switching to the 0300 Billet, looking at 0331 Machine Gunner or 0341 Mortarman. Which one do Marines have better experiences in? I am going to reserves route so what would each MOS do for drill and what would be the responsibility. I have gone to usmilitary.about.com and it was helpful for the description but not for reserve duties. Any advice or past experiences would be greatly appreciated.

the only way you can get a certain MOS in the reserves is if that unit local to you that you get contracted to has the MOS/billet available.

Simply put, if that unit is not an infantry unit there is no way you'll get an infantry MOS

that said.....i'd stick with the 1341 you're already set up with
